Dorothy G. “Dot” Payton, 84, Peachtree City, died Oct. 22, 2005. She was born Sept. 5, 1921 in Fulton County. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. “Jimmy” Payton Jr. Services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Father John Walsh officiating. Survivors include a son, Dennis and Cathie Payton, Peachtree City; grandchildren, Don and Sonya Payton, Anchorage, Alaska, Thomas Payton, and Douglas Payton, both of Kennesaw, and Dion Payton, Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Steven Payton, and Jonathon Payton, both of Anchorage; and a sister, Mary Miller, Douglasville. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Edge Band, 101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
