Janice Gossett Geurtz, 62, Newnan, died June 4, 2006. She was born Deb. 14,1944 in Dalton, Ga., daughter of the late Hugh L. and Aline McHan Gossett. During her professional career she had been involve4d in sales and advertising. She was a member of Newnan First Baptist Church. Services were at the Newnan First Baptist Church with the rev. Jerry Walker officiating. Interment was at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Ga. Survivors include her husband, Col. Peter W. Geurtz, retired, United States Air Force; sons, John Christopher Mathis and Nathan Patrick Mathis; and a daughter, Erin Aileen Woolerton.
