‘Tennant unafraid of past, will do right for future’

I appreciate Jon Shatto coming to the defense of Dan Tennant. I have sat by and watched this man (Tennant) be attacked for far too long. Let me tell you a little bit about the Dan Tennant that I know.

My first encounter with Dan was in front of a PTC grocery store in 1995. Dan was running for PTC Council, basically because the incumbent was unopposed. Dan felt that people should have a choice, so he jumped into the political process, nearly winning as a write-in candidate. Four years later he ran again, this time successfully.

Amid all the chaos of a none-too-pleasant divorce, Dan has continued to put himself out there to make a difference in the lives of PTC residents.

When my mother died in 2000 Dan was there. When my family and I needed a lift to the airport at 6:30 in the morning, Dan was there. When we were moving last year, Dan was there. I consider Dan Tennant to be one of my best friends.

I think (and history shows) that when it comes to PTC, Dan Tennant is the right man for the job. We need more leaders who aren’t afraid of the past and are willing to do what’s right for the future. Do yourselves a favor, PTC, and vote for “Our Man Dan” on Nov. 8.
