Amanda Dodson, 47, Fairburn, died May 29, 2006. She was born Sept. 8, 1958 in Fulton County. She was employed with Delta Air Lines in the Human Resources Department, She was graduated from Clayton State College with an associate degree in Sociology. She was also graduated from Georgia Southern University, with a bachelor degree in Special Education and was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with Minister Keith Davenport and David Pauley officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Danny Dodson, Fairburn; a son, Daniel J. Dodson, Fairburn; a daughter, Megan and Matt Sheffield, Colquitt, Ga.; mother, Betty Buchanan, Riverdale; and a brother, James Buchanan Jr., Riverdale. Memorial donations may be made to Portsbridge Hospice, 1335 Lake Ridge Parkway, Riverdale, Ga. 30296.
