‘Mayor Brown supports unions, elite Democrats’

Dear mayor, You complained about the ethics charges filed against you, saying they were petty and politically motivated. Quit whining, for goodness sakes. You have consistently ignored campaign registration and disclosure laws and any other law dealing with the public’s right to know from the beginning.

I recall a letter you sent to the citizens, even me, about the then-current dreadful situation in Peachtree City. It’s message was lost on me but you sent it at a point in time when you were being coy about whether you would run for mayor.

Big as life at the bottom corner was what is known to Democrats as a “union bug.” Republicans, please listen closely, because that little shield is the Democrat equivalent of a secret handshake. It tells every union person in town that our future mayor had paid homage to the union voting block that made up Roosevelt’s great coalition and he is consequently a loyal Democrat.

Now you, mayor, and I both know that that little shield means you went to Atlanta to have that copy job printed in a union print shop rather than having it done conveniently at the corner Copy-A-Minute. That was a campaign piece and it had absolutely no disclosure as to who paid for it and you did not have any filing for a campaign or a political action committee at the time.

Typical of an elitist Democrat to think the laws are only for us zealots. Be a man. Take your medicine.
