Court Clerk named to state board

Fayette County Clerk of Superior Court Sheila Studdard has been appointed to serve on a volunteer board by Ga. Gov. Sonny Perdue.

Studdard, 41, of Fayetteville, was appointed to the Board of Commissioners of the Superior Court Clerks Retirement Fund of Georgia.

Studdard, a former police officer and detective for the Atlanta Police Department, also serves as clerk of court for Fayette’s state court and magistrate court. She is also a member of the Superior Court Clerks’ Training Council.

Studdard and her husband, David, have one child, Jackson.
