Betty Jo Edmondson, 77, Tyrone, died May 24, 2006. She was born Oct. 19, 1928 in Fayette County, daughter of Ray and Vivian Whatley Jones. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Lendell Ainsworth officiating. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Edmondson, Tyrone; sons, Mike Edmondson, McDonough, and Doug and Susan Edmondson, Palmetto; a daughter, Vickie Helton, Palmetto; a brother, Robert Jones, Fayetteville; a sister, Mary Ruth Horton, Brooks; grandchildren, Larry Alford, Keith Edmondson, Scott Edmondson, Denise Peters, Terri Majors, Molly Assantes, Pete Edmondson, Dusty Minor, Nelly Jo Minor, and Matthew Helton; eight great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Sharon Mabrey. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
