Eugene “Gene” Blair Wright, 70, Peachtree City, died May 22, 2006. He was born June 8, 1935 in Parkersburg, W. Va. He retired from Turner Broadcasting System in 1997, after a 25-year career that propelled him from operating a transmitter to chief engineer to vice president of engineering. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel. Survivors include his wife, Nelda Wright, owner of Nelda’s Salon at CNN Center; children, Tim Wright, Statesboro, and Gary and Teresa Wright, Byron; and grandchildren, Alex Wright and Blair Wright.
