Fayette Senior Services held its annual Volunteer Breakfast recently to celebrate National Volunteer Week. The Volunteer Breakfast was held at the Peachtree Wyndham Conference Center. Eighty-seven volunteers attended this special event to say “thank you” for all the hours they have given to the agency and to the seniors in our community.

Entertainment was provided by two finalists from the Fayette Senior Service’s Senior Idol Contest that was held in February. Those in attendance enjoyed the beautiful voices and music of Russell Williams and Cal Cheatham. Dixie Anderson was recognized for the many hours she has volunteered helping seniors find a Medicare D plan that was right for them. She has counseled over 200 seniors since November 2005.
