Landmark AP art show

The Landmark Advanced Placement (AP) Art Show was held recently at the school’s Fairburn campus. The event showcased the work of six AP art students. “The Advance Placement students have worked hard all year to prepare their portfolios,” said art teacher Whitney Stansell. The art will now be sent on to Washington D.C. to be judged by a panel of college art professors and esteemed high school art teachers. The works are judged in the areas of breadth, concentration and quality. Last year, four of five of the AP students received a perfect score and Stansell believes this year’s class will show equally well. Shown is Bethany Swinford, a Fayette County resident, with some of her work. Photo/Special.
