Local business receives special patriotic recognition from DARTue, 11/01/2005 - 6:08pm

The Chick-Fil-A at Towne Center in Fayetteville was recently honored for their patriotic flying of American Flags by the Augustin Clayton Chapter DAR. According to Susan Clark, Marketing Director, that location has always flown the large flag. The store honored one of their employees, Jason Ross, when he was deployed to Iraq with the Marines by erecting several smaller flags. Since the safe return of Mr. Ross, management decided to leave the flags flying to honor their other employees who are now serving in the military or attending military service academies. Pictured left to right is Becky West, Susan Clark and Bobbie Veal. The DAR is open to any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a revolutionary patriot. The Augustin Clayton Chapter DAR serves Fayette, Clayton and Henry Counties. For more information, call 770-473-1218. login to post comments |
