The Little Princess at NTC

Newnan Theatre Company will present the final weekend of “The Little Princess” this weekend. A favorite tale for children and adults alike, the main character, Sara, is a young girl facing the loss of her father and her fortune. Despite her hardships, Sara keeps a positive attitude, her kind heart and loyal friends. But in the end, does everything work out fine? You’ll have to see for yourself.

The NTC production of “The Little Princess” is sponsored jointly by the Optimist Club of Newnan and the Optimist Club of Senoia. The local Optimist Clubs are part of a worldwide network that concentrates on “Bringing Out the Best in Kids” through their service projects. Involved individuals share their commitments to the community and upbeat attitudes. For more information, visit www.optimist.org.

“The Little Princess” was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett and adapted by John Vreeke. NTC’s production is directed by Laurel Alford and Jennifer Dorrell. The first weekend’s shows had great turnouts and the upcoming weekend promises to be sold out, so everyone is encouraged to call early for reservations.

Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8 p.m., Sunday shows begin at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for senior citizens and children under 11.
