Three Fayette eighth graders have been named a TBS (Turner Broadcasting System) Goldstar student.

Caroline Winstead of Rising Starr Middle, Johnathan Richardson of Fayette Middle and Justin Matthew Greene of Whitewater Middle are among the 75 Georgia students recognized for their significant improvements in attitude, academics and/or attendance.

The students were honored at a special luncheon at Turner Field earlier this month where they received a certificate commemorating their achievement along with other prizes.
