Community Christian Yard Sale

Community Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fayetteville recently held its spring yard sale with many “added attractions.” The sale raised money for several groups within the church.

Cowboys for Christ provided horses for children and adults to ride and retired Chief Master Sergeant Albert “Randy” Martin brought his World War II jeep, also providing rides around the property for adults and children.

Southern Regional Medical Center and Riverwood Psychiatric Center provided literature on their respective facilities. Chicken, barbecue, hamburgers and hotdogs were served throughout the day.

The church will have a community-wide pancake breakfast and book sale Saturday, June 10, from 8-11 a.m. All proceeds will go toward purchasing ink cartridges for North Fayette Elementary’s computer printers which are used by the children.

The church also will host Vacation Bible School June 26-29 from 6-8 p.m. Activities will include a meal served from 5:30-6 p.m. for $4 per person. The theme for VBS is “Trading Places - Where Jesus Makes a World of Difference.”

The church is at 349 Kenwood Rd. in north Fayette County. For more information, call the church office, 770-460-9745.
