Father David Epps, pastor of Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Sharpsburg, has been asked to serve on a national commission for home missions for the Charismatic Episcopal Church.

Epps, along with 19 others, planted Christ the King, then in Peachtree City, in September of 1996. Since then, two churches have sprung from that body — St. Matthew’s in Hogansville and Church of the Holy Cross in Fayetteville. The congregation of Christ the King now meets in Sharpsburg.

Epps currently serves on the Bishop’s Council of the Mid-South Diocese and was appointed Canon to the Ordinary by Bishop John W. Holloway.

He holds several degrees and is currently a doctoral candidate at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry.
