Stan and Sophia Parrott of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia Gayle Parrott, to Jeremy Daniel Callahan, son of Dan and Becky Callahan of Stockbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jason Smith of Atlanta and the late Tina Smith, and Elizabeth and Everett Parrott Sr. of Fayetteville. She is a 2001 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2006 graduate of Georgia State University where she received a bachelor of science degree in nutrition. She will attend graduate school at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Charles and Frances Smith of Montgomery, Ala., and Baker and Martha Callahan of Wetumpka, Ala. He is a 1997 graduate of Henry County High School in McDonough and a 2003 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia where he received a bachelor of science degree in nuclear medicine. He currently is employed by Ultrascan, Inc.

The wedding will be June 11, 2006, at the Hazlehurst House in McDonough. Following a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Starkville, Miss.
