Mr. and Mrs. Randy Paul Simantel of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Afton Lauren Rea, to Christopher James Watkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tony Watkins of Molena. The bride-elect is the grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cox Sr., of Quinton, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Simantel of Dwight, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Rea of Quinton, Okla., and Mr. and Mrs. Richard McGinnis of Spiro, Okla. She is a graduate of McIntosh High School and North Georgia College & State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is a member of the Phi Mu Fraternity. The future groom is the grand-son of Mrs. Jack Pilkenton of Molena, the late Mr. Jack Pilkenton, Mrs. James Watkins of Molena, and the late Mr. James Watkins. A graduate of Pike County High School, he attends North Georgia College & State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English and is currently working towards a master’s degree in public administration. He is an officer in the Georgia Army National Guard and is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. The wedding will be in June, 2006, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Molena.
