The ages old tradition of Eucharistic Adoration will take place at Saint Mary Magdalene’s Catholic Church in Sharpsburg Friday, Nov. 4, from 7-9 p.m. in the chapel on the parish property. This will be the first official program of Eucharistic Adoration offered by the parish and later will be expanded to additional hours.

The program was organized by Saint Mary Magdalene’s Knights of Columbus group.

The concept of Eucharistic Adoration dates to the very earliest years of the church when people were encouraged to spend time along with the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharistic Bread which is placed in a monstrance for all to see.

The services encourage personal and silent time before the exposed Eucharist, time spent in both adoration and in prayer.
St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church is 4046 Lower Fayetteville Road, Sharpsburg, near Ga. Hwy. 154.
