Horse show set for Moreland

On Saturday, May 27, Quail Ridge Farm and the Classic Show Series will host the May Dayz Classic, the first of four shows. The May Dayz Classic is open to the public with an admission fee at the gate. 100 percent of the gate proceeds are donated to Alzheimer’s Foundation in honorarium of Mrs. Patricia Willis, mother of Mrs. Joel (Sandi) Black. The admission gate fee is $5 per vehicle.

The show itself is a hunter/jumper schooling show for the beginner to advanced rider. The first class of the day, Lead Line begins at 9 a.m. with most of the younger riders scheduled to ride before noon. Later in the day, intermediate classes consist of more experienced and older riders. However, riders range in age from four and a half to sixty one.

Spend the Saturday at a horse show! It’s great fun for the whole family.

The farm features ample parking, although spectators should bring lawn chairs or portable seating. No coolers or glass containers allowed. In addition, the farm is smoke free in its entirety.
