Recently, the Tsunami Volleyball Club teamed up with Atlanta Alliance on Developmental Disabilities to host the Special Olympics Volleyball Invitational.
This event marked the second year that Tsunami has provided assistance at the annual invitational held at Emory University.

Over 40 Tsunami players, coaches, and parents volunteered last weekend to help run the event that draws Special Olympics teams from all over Georgia. Among other groups, our very own Fayette County Special Olympics team competed in the unified division taking second place overall.

Tsunami, a girls’ Junior Olympic volleyball club, is based on the south side of Atlanta, with athletes from Landmark Christian, McIntosh, Northgate, Sandy Creek, Starr’s Mill and other local schools. Tsunami emphasizes the spirit of volleyball by developing technical skills, cooperation, and teamwork. As a club Tsunami also strives to instill exemplary values, including community service, in its teams that transcend volleyball.
