• Ryan Barr, a Starr’s Mill gradaute, got some playing time for Bloomsburg University in their 42-35 win over West Chester University.
• Deante Battle, a Starr’s Mill graduate at Northwestern University, had one solo tackle and four assists in their 33-17 loss to Michigan.
• Larry Beard, a Sandy Creek graduate, had one assist, half a sack and one quarterback hurry for Georgia Southern in their 55-42 win over South Dakota State/
• Brian Brown, a Sandy Creek graduate, had two assists in the University of Delaware’s 25-15 loss to the University of Maine.
• Darrell Burston, a Starr’s Mill graduate, had one assist in Florida State’s 35-27 win over Maryland.
• Chris Capps, a Landmark Christian graduate at the University of Alabama, started at left tackle in their 35-3 win over Utah State.
• Charles Castleberry, a McIntosh graduate, had 13 rushes for 30 yards in the University of Minnesota, Crookston’s 64-13 loss to Northern State.
• John Deraney, a Fayette County graduate, kicked three extra points for NC State in their 21-17 win over Southern Mississippi. He also had four punts for 164 yards.
• Jason Earwood, a Starr’s Mill graduate, had one solo tackle, four assists, half a sack and one quarterback hurry for Georgia Southern in their 55-42 win over South Dakota State.
• Joshua Haney, a Sandy Creek graduate, had one rushing attempt for The Citadel in their 28-10 loss to Wofford.
• Chris James, a Starr’s Mill graduate, kicked two field goals and two extra points for Western Kentucky in their 31-20 loss to Southern Illinois.
• Calvin Johnson, a Sandy Creek graduate, had four catches for 46 yards, for Georgia Tech in their 10-9 win over Clemson.
• Riley Swanson, a Sandy Creek graduate, had one solo tackles and two assists for Wake Forest in their 44-6 win over Duke.
