Jerry Schaufelberger, 78, Jonesboro, died May 9, 2006. He was born Oct. 12, 1917 in Lancaster County, Neb. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was member of Fayette Seventh Day Adventist Church where he devoted a lot of his time. Services were at the Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor George Pangman officiating. Interment will be later at Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, Neb. Survivors include his wife, LaRue Schaufelberger, Jonesboro; a son, Eric Dennis and Yoka Schaufelberger, Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Connie Bell, Douglasville; grandchildren, David Schaufelberger, Heather Martin Paul Bell, and Rachel Bell; great-grandchildren, Selena Martin, and Tyler O’Bannon; and a brother, Donald and Norma Schaufelberger, Columbus, Neb. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
