The City of Peachtree City is accepting applications for volunteer, non-paying positions on several community boards. The Library Commission promotes and supports the Peachtree City Library, making recommendations on policies on the operation and programming for the facility. The position on the Library Commission is a 3-year term beginning in June of 2006. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. today. The Development Authority is responsible for promoting trade, commerce, industry, and employment in Peachtree City. The position on the Development Authority of Peachtree City is an unexpired term ending April 30, 2009. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on June 16. The Peachtree City Tourism Association promotes tourism in the community and oversees the City’s Tennis Center and Amphitheater. The position on the Tourism Association is an unexpired term ending December 31, 2007.  The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on June 16.
