Eddie Kathleen Griffin Payne, 66, Commerce, died April 30, 2006. She was born Jan. 26, 1940 in Putnam County. She was preceded in death by parents, Oscar Iverson and Zonnie Irene Eller Griffin. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce. Services were at the Little-Ward chapel, Commerce, with the Rev. Dr. Carlton Allen officiating. Interment was at Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce. Survivors include sons, Mike Payne, Fayetteville, and Kim Payne, Commerce; brothers, Johnny Griffin, Warner Robins, and Harold Griffith, Eatonton; and sisters, Juanita Payne, Commerce, and Sylvia Carlan, Lawrenceville. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge.
