William T. “Bill” Wilkinson Jr., 77, Chief Master Sergeant, United States Air Force, retired, died April 29, 2006. He was born Feb. 10, 1929 in Macon, son of W. T. and Beulah Mae Chiles Wilkinson Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty Purvis Wilkinson, and a brother, Russell Wilkinson. He was a veteran of Vietnam, and was a veteran of 30 years service. He was also retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. Memorial services were at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. Graveside service with full military honors was at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Valdosta. Survivors include daughters, Donna and Jerry Swain, Webster, Texas, Sonya and Terry Murphy, Peachtree City, and Debbie and Larry Young, McDonough; grandchildren, Carolyn, J.T., Kathryn, and Lindsay; and a great-grandson, Ethan. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
