First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City celebrated Holy Week with many special community activities, beginning with a Jerusalem Marketplace experience on Palm Sunday. Church members and visitors were treated to a full scale interactive re-enactment of a marketplace that showed what Jesus might have seen and heard in his final days.

A large part of the congregation, spanning all ages, participated in making the marketplace come to life with authentic costuming, decorations, and informative and entertaining tent “booths” that portrayed the customs of the times as well as items sold in Biblical days. “Roman guards” escorting families to the marketplace for a” taxing census” and live animals of the market added a special note of interest.
