Mr. and Mrs. Michael Courtney Nichols of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Lani Amanda, to Wesley Ronald Smead, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Smead of Martinez.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Louise Nichols, the late Ralph Acker Nichols, the late Wynette Nichols and the late Mr. and Mrs. Orbie Aaron Evans.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Willard Smead, the late Mrs. Linda Smead, Mrs. Martha Reynolds and the late Ronald Reynolds.

The prospective bride and groom both attend the University of West Georgia.

A June wedding is planned in Sylacauga, Ala. After a honeymoon trip, the couple will reside in Carrollton.
