Mr. and Mrs. David Gideon Crockett announce the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn Rood Crockett, to Jason Lee Amos, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Garnett Amos of Peachtree City.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert F. Brooks Jr. of Conyers and the late Robert F. Brooks Jr., the late Arthur Edward Rood Jr. of Atlanta, the late Mr. and Mrs. Noel M. Anthony of Phenix City, Ala., and the late G.P. Crockett of McAlester, Okla. She is a graduate of North Atlanta High School and a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned a bachelor’s degree in classical culture and publication management. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.

The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Robert E. Williams of Eatonton, and the late Robert E. Williams, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Garnett Amos of Macon. A graduate of McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, he attended Oglethorpe University and received a bachelor of science degree in education and a master’s degree in education from the University of Georgia. He is a speech-language pathologist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens and is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.

The wedding will be in late May, 2006.
