Thousands turn out for Riley

It is a time for support, a time for enhanced awareness, a time to raise needed funds for United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, a time for families to enjoy a beautiful spring morning. It is all this and more at the the Race for Riley 5K Walk/Run April 29 at Georgia Baptist Children’s Home in Palmetto, an event attended by nearly 3,000 people from across metro Atlanta. But most of all, it is the clear demonstration of the drive and determination of Waynette Peek and her love for four year-old Riley.
