McIntosh's Cheatham signs with Berry

McIntosh senior volleyball player Megan Cheatham recently signed with Berry College to play volleyball.

Cheatham capped her high school volleyball career with an incredible final season. The 5’8” co-captain completed her senior year, with an astonishing 1,027 assists, 197 digs, 17 blocks, 63 serving aces, and a 96.5% serving accuracy, leading her team to a third place finish in the Georgia State AAAA Final Four. Megan was awarded her team’s Top Offense Award (her second time) at the team’s volleyball awards banquet at the end of the season.

Cheatham began her high school varsity career as a sophomore. Over the last three seasons, she has dished out 2,137 assists, 389 digs, 156 serving aces, and an overall serving accuracy of 95.9%. She is now ranked secondin Georgia for all-time career assists/game with a career average of 8.22 assists/game. Additionally, she is a two-time All-Region first team selectee and participated in the Georgia Senior All-Star match. She was also named to the Georgia Volleyball All-State first team.

She currently is the co-captain of the Atlanta Juniors 18 Orange club team in Atlanta. Before joining Atlanta Juniors, Cheatham played three seasons with the Tsunami Volleyball Club in Atlanta.

She attributes her success to having great teammates and great coaching throughout her high school and Club Volleyball seasons. Graduating with honors from McIntosh High School, she wants to continue playing volleyball in college and has signed with Berry College where she will attend following graduation.
