Starr's Mill groundbreaking

A groundbreaking was held April 12 for the new Starr’s Mill Professional Center at 1280 Ga. Highway 74 in Peachtree City. The location is just south of Rockaway Road and near the Starr’s Mill school complex.

The project consists of a 14,800 square foot two-story brick and steel Class “A” dental / medical office building. Tenants include Family and Cosmetic Dentistry (Peter E. Harris, D.M.D, P.C.) and Lifeboat Family Practice No. 2 (Jeffrey A. Sherman, M.D., P.C.) with additional space available for other professionals who want to grow their practices and businesses by being near this fast growing area, which includes northwestern Spalding County, eastern Coweta County, including Senoia, and southern Fayette County.

Group VI President and CEO Jim Pace stated, “Our vision and promise is to create standards that will meet and exceed the community’s expectations. Starr’s Mill Professional Center will provide the utmost in dental and medical professionalism and comprehensive quality healthcare, as well as a standard of excellence for business professionals, such as accounting, financial planning, insurance, consulting, and others”.

The event was attended by many community leaders, physicians, dentists, their families and staffs, along with Fayette County Chamber of Commerce members, as well as several members of Group VI Corporation management and employees.

Speakers at the event included Mark Gray, Chairman of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, Greg Dunn, Chairman of the Fayette County Board of Commissioners, Jim Pace of Group VI, and Melissa Harris of Group VI Business Development as well as wife of Dr. Peter E. Harris, representing the ownership group. The building dedication was delivered by Chris Patton, Lead Pastor of Southside Church in Peachtree City.

Following the ceremony and photo session, a reception was held on-site for the assembled group.

Group VI has developed similar successful projects throughout Georgia over the past 15 years. Those projects include facilities for hospitals such as Emory and Piedmont in Fayette County, WellStar Health System in Woodstock and Douglasville, and Southern Regional Medical Center in several south metro Atlanta locations. They have also developed and constructed over 50 facilities for individual physicians, dentists, and other medical professionals.
