Samuel J. and Kathleen P. Godsall of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Ellen Marie Godsall, to Cpl. Michael Joseph Escobar, son of Mrs. Luz Escobar of Sparks, Nev., and the late Jaime Escobar.

The bride-to-be, a 2002 graduate of Fayette County High School, will receive a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Converse College in May, 2006.

The groom-elect is a 2002 graduate of Edward C. Reed High School in Sparks, Nev. He currently is assigned to the 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

The wedding will be July 8, 2006, at Saint Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Jonesboro. The couple will reside in Reno, Nev., where the groom will attend the University of Nevada-Reno.
