Air Force Tech. Sgt. Christopher G. Juarez has deployed to Southwest Asia to a forward-operating location to support the U.S. mission in the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). The GWOT includes members of all the U.S. armed forces, federal, state and local government agencies and organizations, and global coalition forces that are currently involved in various anti-terrorist operations or campaigns dedicated to tracking and taking action against terrorist groups and networks around the world. This includes countries or states that sponsor or harbor terrorist groups and their objectives that are either engaged in or have the capacity or intent to carry out terrorist activities which threaten U.S. nationals or U.S. national security, including efforts to disrupt national defense, foreign relations, or U.S. economic interests. Juarez, a fuels distribution supervisor, is normally assigned to the 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa City, Okinawa, Japan. He has served in the military for 15 years.
