For the first time ever, the Fayette County Master Gardeners are sponsoring a Garden Tour in North Peachtree City on Saturday, May 13 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (Rain or shine). There are eight gardens, quite diverse in concept. The tour includes a rose garden with 150 varieties of roses, a cottage garden, designed with birds, hummingbirds and butterflies in mind, a three-acre estate with specimen conifers and peaceful water features, as well as a private courtyard garden. One of the homeowners has an extensively landscaped garden with cascading multiple waterfalls and ponds.

Tickets are $15 each and are available in Peachtree City at Pike Family Nurseries on Georgia Hwy. 74 and Wild Birds Unlimited, 100 N. Peachtree Parkway. In Fayetteville, they can be purchased at the Fayette Co. Extension Office, 140 Stonewall Avenue, Suite 209. Andy’s Nursery and Landscape will have tickets for sale in Fayetteville and Newnan.

Ticket holders can register to win a $ 20 gift certificate from Pike Family Nurseries, Wild Birds Unlimited or Andy’s Nursery and Landscape at Garden # 2. The drawing will be held on May 16.
