The 8th Annual Peachtree City Memorial Day Celebration will start today at 9 a.m. This year’s event will emphasize the contributions made by World War II veterans in addition to recognizing the contributions of others, including present day veterans. The golf cart procession from the Gathering Place to City Hall Plaza will start at 8:30 a.m. At 9 a.m. honors to the flag will commence, followed by a memorial wreath presentation by the local VFW post 9949 and more music.
