The volleyball season ended a little too early for the Sandy Creek Lady Patriots (37-17).

After losing five of their first eight games to start the season, they won 12 of their next 15 games followed by another six game win streak. One of the highlights for Sandy Creek this year was handing Jonesboro their first loss of the year on Oct. 6. The team did struggle with their region rival, the McIntosh Lady Chiefs, losing to them once in the regular season and twice in the area tournament.

Only two seniors will graduate off of this team and five of this year’s players will be seniors next year while two imporant members of the team, outside and middle hitters Olympia Haney and Jessie Ruple, will be juniors. The team also had five freshmen on this year’s squad, all of whom benefitted from playing a tough schedule against some top notch programs.
