Donald Allen Harp Sr.Tue, 04/25/2006 - 3:31pm

Donald Allen Harp Sr., 91, died April 18, 2006. He was born Feb. 24, 1915 in Fayette County. He was the son of William Henry Edward Mozee Harp and Eva Blanche Burch Harp, who married in January, 1907. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris McElroy Harp. He had farmed all his life in the same area where he was born and reared and was undoubtedly the last fulltime farmer in the county. He had served on the Fayette County Board of Education for eight years. He was a member of the Davidson Masonic Lodge, #334, F&AM, Woolsey. Services were at the Inman United Methodist Church with the Rev. Royeese Stowe and the Rev. Bob Kerr officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery. Survivors include a sons, the Rev. Don and Mary Ellen Harp, Atlanta, and Mickey and Tammie Harp, Inman; daughters, Carolyn and Buddy Coleman, Lilburn, and Sara Jane Harp, Snellville; grandchildren, Allen and Julie Harp, Robin Harp, David Bennett, Danny Coleman, Austin and Lori Williams, Kimberly Grazioli, Nolan Harp, and Cole Harp; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the Inman United Methodist Church Upkeep Fund, 151 Hills Bridge Road, Fayetteville, Ga. Carl J.
