Centennial's big spring cleanWed, 04/19/2006 - 3:20pm
By: The Citizen
On Saturday, March 25, volunteers worked together during the first annual Big Spring Clean at Centennial subdivision located off MacDuff Parkway in Peachtree City. Residents were given an opportunity to pre-order bales of pine straw to clean up and beautify their yard for spring. On the morning of the event, volunteers gathered at the community clubhouse to begin the deliveries. It took five truckloads to ensure every bale got delivered to the residents who participated. They worked as a team to unload the pine straw, taking special care to clear the sidewalk and street after each delivery. Neighbors helped neighbors spruce up their yards. Jay Herzog, James Washburn, Bob Wentworth, James and Elizabeth Van Den Heuvel, and Meghan Lowry were among the volunteers at Centennial’s Big Spring Clean. Photo/Special. login to post comments |
