Local society wins at state conference

Button Gwinnett Society Awards

The Button Gwinnett Society, Children of the American Revolution won many awards at the 67th Georgia State Society State Conference held in Milledgeville. Among the awards received were 1st place Kids Helping Kids Contest, 1st place for Best Society Newsletter, 1st place for Best Children’s Booklet about society history, and 1st place for the American Indian Contest. Society President Sarah Dorney won the President’s Trophy for Best Society President’s Report and society member and National Curator, Kevin Baker, won 2006 Georgia’s Outstanding Member.
