Maurice Joseph Bourdeau

Maurice Joseph Bourdeau, 85, Peachtree City, died April 1, 2006. He was born June 28, 1920 in Schenectady, N. Y. He was graduated from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School where he lettered in basketball, baseball, and soccer. He served in World War II in the United States Army First Special Forces, Darby Rangers, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a retired Lead Mechanic for Delta Airlines with 30 years of service.

A funeral mass was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Father John Walsh officiating. Interment with full military honors followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Hilda L. Bourdeau, Peachtree City; children, Carol and Raymond Foster, Dallas, Ga., Barbara and Edwin Charles Draper, Sharpsburg, Judy Brown, Temple, Ga., and Joseph and Mary Pat Bourdeau, Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Timothy Kistler, Amanda and Jonathan Draper, Joseph and Madeline Bourdeau, Kimberly Debello, and Stephen Jones; three great grandchildren; and a brother, Jude Bourdeau, Pittsburg, Pa.

Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
