Starr’s Mill High School’s Sarah Capati has signed a scholarship offer to attend classes and play for Berry College’s nationally-ranked women’s soccer program beginning in the fall of 2006, according to Berry head coach Lorenzo Canalis.

Capati is a senior at Starr's Mill High School in Fayetteville, which she helped lead to the championship match of the State Class AAAA Tournament last season. The defender was Starr's Mill's Most Valuable Defensive Player in 2004. She also helped lead her '88 Peachtree City Lazers Elite club team, coached by Brian Moore, to the State Cup.

"Sarah has played and excelled at the highest level both in high school and at the club leve," Canalis said. "Her experience and ability will immediately contribute to our program's continued success.

Capati is also an honor student at Starr’s Mill.

Berry is ranked 21st in the current NAIA national rankings with a 7-2-1 overall record, and is the NAIA's all-time winningest women's soccer program.
