The 13u PTB Georgia Seminoles win the Georgia USSSA Super NIT

The PTB Georgia Seminoles won this past weekend’s USSSA Super NIT and, by doing so, qualified for the USSSA Elite 24 World Series . The USSSA Elite 24 World Series will be held at Disney’s Wide World Of Sports in Orlando, Fla., the first week in August.

This will be the PTB Georgia Seminoles third trip to this prestigious World Series.
One hundred and seventy two teams played in the Georgia Super NIT in age groups 6u thru 14u which was hosted by Peachtree City Travelball, Whitewater High School, McIntosh High School, Fayette County High School and Georgia USSSA.
The Georgia Super NIT was held at several locations throughout Fayette County including: The Baseball Soccer Complex in Peachtree City, Kiwanis Park in Fayetteville, Starrs Mill High School, McIntosh High School and Fayette County High School.

In the 11u, 12u, 13u & 14u age groups, the top two teams per age group earned berths to the USSSA Elite 24. In these age groups, teams from as far away as California, Texas and Michigan were in Fayette County looking to qualify for the USSSA Elite 24 World Series. The 13u age groups featured several nationally recognized teams such as Nor Cal. Baseball from California, Jacksonville Heat from Florida and South Oakland A’s from Michigan.

In pool play, the PTB Georgia Seminoles beat the East Cobb Longhorns 12-6, the Homestead Storm from Florida 16-0 and the LC Fusion 8-6.
In the Championship Round on Sunday the PTB Georgia Seminoles run ruled the East Cobb Longhorns 9-1 and then run ruled the South Florida Snappers 9-0 in five innings to earn their third berth to The USSSA Elite 24 World Series.

After securing their berth the PTB Georgia Seminoles still had the Championship Game to play and faced a big team from Texas.
The Dallas Yankees have been making a lot of noise on the National Travel Baseball Scene this year, the Yankees play in tournament all across the country and have one kid playing on their team who lives in Canada.

The PTB Georgia Seminoles beat the Dallas Yankees by a score of 5-3 to captured the Georgia USSSA Super NIT Championship.
For the year the PTB Georgia Seminoles hold a record of 24-2 with three tournament championships and two runner-up finishes in the five tournaments they have played.
