State HOSA winners

Four future healthcare professionals from Starr’s Mill High placed second at the Georgia Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Spring Leadership and Competitive Events Conference.

Travis Adams, Jerale Irving, Justin Bell and Nathan Moore have earned the right to compete at the national HOSA conference in Anaheim, California this June. Only the top three winners from the state are advanced to the national competition.

HOSA’s competitive events program brings health careers to life through rigorous testing of knowledge, performance, skill and leadership capabilities aimed at developing, encouraging and recognizing the brightest future healthcare professionals.

HOSA is a student organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in healthcare and to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare to all people.
