Christ’s Church at Whitewater invites you to join them for Holy Week celebration events. A Maundy Thursday Service entitled “Windows to the Soul” on April 13 at 7 p.m. will feature an evening of intimate worship and communion. This experiential worship service features both classic and contemporary musical elements, woven together with art, drama, dance and prayer. The Student Ministries will kick-off the Easter morning celebration on Sunday, April 16 with a breakfast from 7:30-9am. The menu includes biscuits and gravy, sausage and eggs. Reservations are required. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds benefit the BOTA (Be On the Alert) mission trip this June. According to Joey Potter, Student Pastor, a team of high school students, college students, and adult sponsors will travel to Tecate, Mexico with the “purpose of reaching the people there and encouraging the Second Nazarene Church in Tecate.” He adds that BOTA has two components: building dormitories for the camp and conducting a Vacation Bible School for children 12 years old and younger. Jesus’ Resurrection will be celebrated during both worship hours at 9:30 and 11 am on Easter Sunday. The 9:30 service is interpreted for the hearing impaired. Kindergarten age through 12th grade will join their family in the worship service. Nursery through preschool age care is provided during both worship services. All children, newborn through 5th grade, are invited to a giant Easter egg hunt at 10:40 am between services. All kids are encouraged to bring their Easter basket and join the fun. Christ’s Church is located on Georgia Highway 85 South in Fayetteville, approximately 4.5 miles south of the courthouse.
