Epps, Ahart approved to be ordained

Daniel Ahart and Jason Epps

Two local men have been approved to be ordained to the ministry in the Charismatic Episcopal Church.

Daniel Ahart of Fayetteville and Jason Epps of Senoia will be ordained in the fall by The Most Rev. John W. Holloway, Bishop of the Mid-South Diocese.

Ahart, a certified public accountant, is CEO of Daniel Ahart Tax Service. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University and is currently enrolled in the master of sacramental theology program at Logos Seminary in Jacksonville, Fla. He also trained in practical liturgics with Rev. David Monroe, canon liturgist of the diocese. Ahart and his wife, Joni, have two adult children.

Epps, who received his bachelor’s degree in history from Georgia State University, is a lieutenant with the Peachtree City Police Department. Currently, he is enrolled in the master of ministry program of St. Michael’s Seminary. Epps played football on a scholarship at Olivet Nazarene University and holds a second degree black belt in karate.

Epps and his wife, Jessice, have three children.

The ordinations to the diaconate will be conducted at Christ the King Church in Sharpsburg.
