Sara Frances Hendrix, 73, Fayetteville, died March 31, 2006. She was born Jan. 8, 1933 in Randolph County, Ala. She was active in the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church and served as an usher. She was also a volunteer for “Meals on Wheels” as well as a Red Cross volunteer. She served as a school nurse at Russell High School. Services were at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church chapel with the Rev. Mark Westmoreland officiating. Interment was at Shadow Lawn Cemetery, LaGrange, Ga. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, O. C. Hendrix, Fayetteville; daughters, Denise Hendrix Ambrose, Dalton, and Linda Hendrix Cook, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Shannon W. Moore, Jennifer West, Crystal Hensley, Matthew Ambrose, Stephen Ambrose, and Cameron Barge; and a great-granddaughter, Elice Hensley.
