Class A State Basketball Champion teams Burdett Park Trojans and Sandtown Park Knights display victory banners after receiving a proclamation from District 7 Commissioner William “Bill” Edwards.

Sponsored by the Fulton County Department of Parks and Recreation, Burdett defeated DeKalb in the Boys 14 and Under category, and Sandtown defeated Savannah in the Boys 17 and Under category on March 4 in the Georgia Parks and Recreation Association event. This is the second time in a decade that two Fulton teams have won the state championship in the same year.
