National Heights presents Messiah The National Heights Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir and Friends will present the Passion and Easter portion of Handel’s Messiah Sunday at 6 p.m. Fellowship will occur after the program, and a nursery will be provided. The public is invited to the free event. The church’s organist, Hugh Waddy, will accompany the performance, which will be directed by Music Minister James Allen. Friends of the church from various other churches and colleges will also help present the event. The church is located in Fayetteville at 103 Old Norton Road. For more information, call 770-461-1704. St. Andrews Palm Sunday services St. Andrews Episcopal Church invites the community to worship with them this Sunday for Palm Sunday services at 7:30 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Worshipers, waving palms, will join in a procession proceeding from the sanctuary to the grounds commemorating Christ’s triumphal entry into Jersualem. The church will also host Tenebrae, a service of lessons of the season and Psalms. The 9 p.m. services will be Wednesday, April 12 through Good Friday, April 14. Maundy Thursday Rites begin at 7:30 PM with Tenebrae following at 9:00 PM. The all night vigil begins at 10:00 PM. The church is located at 316 North Peachtree Parkway. Fayette Presbyterian awakening service Fayette Presbyterian Church will hold an 8:30 a.m. awakening service as part of its offerings for Palm Sunday. There will be a traditional service at 11 a.m. and a potato bar fundraiser following at noon.
