What a way to start the season. The 7-8 Sharpsburg Red Sox clinched first place at the March Madness at Old National tournament to qualify them in the USSSA World Series.

This win comes after they placed second in the Director’s Cup Challenge in Morrow and a second place finish in the Sharpsburg Shoot-Out earlier in March. This is the first player pitch season for the Red Sox and the bats are swinging.

The team has had several out of the park home runs and great defensive playing with only four runs scored against them in the March Madness tournament. The team is 2-0 in league play and are looking forward to advancing to the AABC tournaments.
