Curt A. Rauhut has been promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army.

The colonel, a deputy brigade commander with 21 years of military service, is assigned to the U.S. Army Recruiting Brigade, North Las Vegas, Nev.

Rauhut graduated in 1980 from Fayette County High School, Fayetteville, Ga.
